Creamy Cauliflower Smoothie


Bizarre vegetable breakfast concepts seem to be trending at the moment (take zucchini oats aka. Zoats, for example) – but we guarantee that this cauliflower smoothie is so much better than it sounds! Whether it’s morning or afternoon, it provides the a great energy boost, tastes delicious and is 100% fruit-free if you want to try and scale back on sugar. 

NB. You can add ½ a banana or a handful of cherries but subsequently may need a dash more liquid to retain its creamy texture.

Ingredients (serves one):

  • 135g / 5 florets frozen cauliflower

  • 250ml oat milk or choice of nut/ dairy milk

  • 250ml water

  • 2 tsp Golden Nut Butter or choice of nut butter

  • 1 tbps raw cacao nibs or cacao powder (optional)

  • 1 heaped tbsp flax seeds

  • 1 tbsp maca powder

  • ½ tbsp cinnamon

  • Ice


  1. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until it’s super smooth and frothy. Transfer it into a cup and enjoy!

NB: Prefer a hot drink (ie. healthy hot chocolate/ mocha)? Once blended thoroughly, transfer it into a saucepan and heat on the hob.
